Recycling Schemes

At Image we have a range of schemes in place to enable our clients to recycle their general office consumables and waste, to support their own environmental and sustainability targets. In many cases these schemes can also significantly reduce the time and cost involved in managing such waste.

We can achieve this by utilising the reverse logistic capability of own delivery vehicles collecting the recycling when we deliver, negating any additional collection and removing the associated carbon impact.

The service can be tailored to suit your requirements with centralised or department by department, recycling points. A regular collection cycle can be scheduled or you can choose to request collections on an ‘as required’ basis.

Section 34 of The Environmental Protection Act 1990 ‘imposes a duty of care on persons/companies concerned with controlled waste. The duty applies to anyone who produces, imports, carries, keeps, treats, acts as a broker or disposes of controlled waste, with heavy penalties for a breach of this duty of care. In essence the ‘Duty of Care’ says that we must take all reasonable steps to keep our waste safe and that if we give our waste to a third party, that we need to be sure that they are authorised to take it.

Image is a registered waste carrier with the Environmental Agency and therefore is an authorised carrier of such waste. A copy of our license is available on request.

From batteries, to ink & toner cartridges through to complete office clearance of furniture, Image is able to offer a recycling service to suit our client needs.
